Lane is originally from Oak Grove, a small town in North Louisiana, where he was raised alongside his brother by his mother and father. A lifelong athlete, Lane played both baseball and football throughout high school and now enjoys staying active by playing tennis. He attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
